The Lincolnshire Gift Card is run by us, Destination Lincolnshire. We cover all the set-up and operational costs for the project on your behalf so there is no extra cost to you to join. The aim of the initiative is for you as a business to be able to offer a truly meaningful gift that keeps money in the county, supporting the local economy and jobs. The cards operate on the Mastercard system, so any businesses that accept Mastercard payments can accept it. It is simple to register and simple to accept.
The Lincolnshire Gift Card gives residents and visitors the chance of a truly meaningful local gift experience whilst on a day trip or short break in the county. A handy gift card, it can be used at attractions, restaurants, shops and accommodations across the county. The card which can quickly and easily be purchased online, as either a physical or digital card, allows the receiver to choose how and where in Lincolnshire they spend the card - meaning they can build a completely tailor-made experience, with the bonus of supporting local businesses. Simply choose an amount to load onto the card from £10-500, and recipients will have 12 months to spend the funds.
From a marketing point of view, gift cards are used in destination campaigns and tailored to target audiences across the visitor economy and also utilised for local staff perks/rewards. This approach keeps all money in the county and creates another income stream for Lincolnshire's visitor economy.
