Charlotte Goy, Chief Executive of Destination Lincolnshire, said: “Created to shine a light on businesses across the county, the Destination Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards celebrate every aspect of the visitor economy - I'm thrilled to see so many fantastic businesses from across Greater Lincolnshire shortlisted in this year's celebration of tourism. I truly hope to see more of our incredible Lincolnshire businesses represented on the national stage at next year's VisitEngland's Awards for Excellence."
As we celebrate the businesses that have been shortlisted for this year, it’s now time to look ahead to the next round of judging. An integral part of the selection process, mystery shopping will commence on August 7th, concluding on September 22nd. This crucial step will ensure that our finalists continue to uphold the highest standards of excellence, creating memorable experiences for every guest.
For an in-depth look at what the mystery shopping round entails, you can refer to the Terms and Conditions tab here, however, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of one in particular:
- As part of the terms and conditions, you will reimburse the judge and his/her partner (or family/companions in the case of some visitor attractions or experiences) on departure for the cost of the mystery visit/overnight stay, any meals taken (alcoholic drinks only for Pub of the Year, Taste of England Award and Hotel of the Year categories), or any admission or ticket cost as appropriate to the category on the production of identification from insight6.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Engine Shed in Lincoln on Thursday, October 12th. This glittering celebration is a wonderful opportunity to raise a glass and recognise the hard work, innovation, and dedication that contribute to the ongoing success and growth of Lincolnshire's tourism industry.
Guests attending the awards will enjoy an unforgettable evening of celebration, networking, and appreciation, surrounded by some of the county's most notable figures in the tourism sector. We will be joined by leading experts, influencers, and decision-makers, making it the perfect platform to showcase the finest in Lincolnshire's tourism industry. Last year’s event sold out in record time, so early booking is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Tickets for this much-anticipated event are now on sale and can be purchased now.
