Elm's Farm Holiday Cottages
Carol Emerson
With ten beautifully converted cottages and stables and the granary - which now acts as a stunning backdrop to weddings throughout the year - Elm’s Farm Holiday Cottages has made a happy niche for itself in beautiful rural Lincolnshire, in Hubbert’s Bridge near Boston.
Welcoming its first guest back in May 2004, Elm’s Farm is well-versed in the ups and downs of the visitor economy. Owned and run today by Carol Emerson and her family, the farm diversified 14 years ago and never looked back. Still a working family farm, providing arable and vegetable crops to suppliers across the UK, Elm’s Farm holds a board appeal and as a result, welcomes a wide variety of guests.
From weddings in The Granary to families looking for somewhere stunning to staycation all made available and easy to explore for those with accessibility needs, Elm’s Farm caters to all audiences offering flexibility as well as a home-from-home cosy and comfortable stay.
Conservation and sustainability are high on the agenda too at Elm’s Farm, with a charging point for electric vehicles installed as well as solar and wind energy utilised. Furthermore, the Emerson family venture will be getting bigger soon too.
Following a Covid-related hiatus, the expansion of Elm’s Farm is now gaining momentum. With planning permission already granted pre-covid, Elm’s Farm will be adding four more cottages to its accommodation offering – it seems like Destination Lincolnshire has come at the perfect time for this expanding business…
"I’m delighted for the arrival of Destination Lincolnshire, a body which will be representing the entire county once again. It will be a coming together of businesses and local authorities to deliver a more joined-up approach when it comes to promoting the county, locally and nationally.
"I'm very excited to see the amalgamation of Destination Lincolnshire. It'll be such a big help in aiding the recovery of the hospitality, tourism and leisure trades. It will bring Lincolnshire together"
“We’ve been a member of Visit Lincoln from the get-go, and one of the very first members of Taste Lincolnshire, but Destination Lincolnshire will bring with it so many benefits, bringing together expert knowledge as well as businesses, a rich pool of resources and industry knowledge for all of us to utilise. We need something to spread the message about the evolving businesses we have here, and Destination Lincolnshire will do that.
“Promoting each other, each different area of the county will only serve to have a ripple effect, bringing people back to explore more of what Lincolnshire has to offer and entertain in all areas, towns, villages and cities. I’m really pleased Destination Lincolnshire is coming to the fore to present a united front for the county, not promoting a limited offering, but instead representing everyone in the visitor economy to bring in further outside investment.”
